Janasamodini... the first fiinshed mix from our upcoming new Arohi cd of raga jazz chamber music (5 years in the process), to be released this fall 2014. Janasamodini is a beautiful 6 note raga originating from the Karnatic (South Indian) classical tradition. Our guru Pt. Ravi Shankar I believe popularized this raga in the North Indian form.
