Indian music Paul's story: LA Times online
This music video by Irfan Khan just went up on LA Times.com, it gives a short journey about my path in Indian and creative world music. This 2 minute piece touches on cross cultural work, teaching, and music as a transcendent force.
International performing artist Paul Livingstone has studied and played sitar for the past 30 years as a disciple of the late legend and icon of Indian arts Pt. Ravi Shankar, Pt. Rajeev Taranath and Prof. Amiya Dasgupta. Paul is also a composer, educator & activist in Los Angeles. He performs on sitar and unique fretless guitars of his own design and has submerged himself in musical traditions of all 6 continents. Paul has recorded with a diversity of world, jazz & popular artists including playing on two Grammy Award winning records with Ozomatli & Ricky Kej.
